A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

It's only been a week, and so I'm skipping over PK information for this round,
but it'll certainly be in next issue! While area and code updates are included
in this issue, along with birthday updates, the main purpose is to send out
the Expies results as well as poems from players concerning Valentine's Day!
After all, what's Valentine's Day without mushy poems of love and affection?
That's what I thought. So, enjoy!

BIRTHDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hi all,

Can you believe another year has passed already? LegendMUD is now going on
it's 17th year! And what a great ride it has been. We love and appreciate that
you all have hung around in our little world for as long as you have. We know
that there's been good times and bad, but we hope that the good times always
win out, and that your enjoyment of Legend continues throughout this year and
beyond.

To celebrate this year's birthday, the PR department will be running a series
of games throughout the week. We hope that you'll be able to join in on one or
all of them!

The PR department, working with the coding department to bring some changes to
a few spells and skills for you all:

New Chant messages were added! There are now a total of 14 different chant
messages for you to choose from. Those are:
Seer
Voodoo
Shinto
Alchemy
Shaman

In addition to the already-added:
Nature
Christian
Witch
Demonic
Reality
Will and Word
Polytheistic

Also, tired of those boring orbs and balls of light? Well, no worries because
now mages can also have those changed to fit with the chant message that they
choose! How about a glowing rune instead of an orb? Or a flicker of flame
instead of a ball of light? Now you can have that option too!

Meditate will now also follow the chant messages. A witch may be seen clearing
their mind instead of breathing regularly and slowly.

Test them all out, see which ones you enjoy the most! Check for teachers in
Carnival, Greece, Tudor, Legends of the Past, Arabia, Japan, Pictland, FI War,
and Nazca.

The PR department also updated the list of Pretitles with the following
additions:
Dangerous
Herr
Frau

and Socials:
rummage
cartwheel
peck
wipe

and changes to:
goodbye
pounce
tease
slap

It has been a difficult year with our limited staff, and we all had oped that
we could have had more to celebrate this year, but that just wasn't possible.
We look forward to a new year with exciting new areas beginning and in
progress, as well as some new code changes in the works.

So be sure to stay tuned, and most of all, thank you for a great 16 years.
