Auditorium. This is your opportunity to talk about what you like and don't
like about this feature, as well as how both imms and mortals can work to
make the feature even better for you.

After obtaining the status of full builder by completing her Malta area, Kae
has agreed to increase her responsibilities on Legend, and taken on an
assistant PR flag in addition to her builder responsibilities. Her strong

Reminder: Austin LegendMEET 2000: Hotel Info

Just a reminder that reservations need to be made by August 4th, 2000 to get
the special group rate for the Austin LegendMeet for the weekend of August
18-20th. Also, if those of you who have already made reservations or are
local and are planning on coming could drop me a note I'd appreciate it!

Please call 1-877-203-0174 (this is a toll-free call) to make your own
reservations before August 4th, 2000.

Be sure to tell them you are with the LegendMUD group to get the special flat
rate of $59 (+tax) a night:

The $59 flat rate is for 1-4 people per room and that includes breakfast.
Other amenities include an outdoor pool/jacuzzi, free parking, data ports on
the phones, coffee makers in the rooms. The hotel is newly rennovated and
they have both smoking & nonsmoking rooms available.

We have blocked out a total of 10 rooms to start with. There are 5 smoking
and 5 non-smoking rooms. But if we need more of either or just more in
general it's not a problem at this early date.

Checkout is set for Sunday but, if you need to come early or leave later,
just let them know that as well.

There are many other hotels/motels in the area. You can search someplace like
travelocity.com if you'd like, but this was by far the most helpful and one
of the best values I found.

LegendMud Club Page

Yes that's right, there is a club page posted on the web from yours truly.
This page was made due to the numerous other muds that have put a club page
up as w ell as a little promoting for our great mud.

What is it you ask? Well it a nice source of inside info from calendar dates
of events for the upcoming months to messages about what is soon to come or
rumored to be done. I will update this club page as much as i can to try to
keep you visiting and checking out any inside info I may get my little greedy
hands on.

You have questions that maybe didn't get answered at the Q and A's? Well
don't be shy and join the club and post your question and I will try to get
you an answer.

Want to promote your clan? That's easy as well, we have links addiction to
the page so if you want your link up there and accessable to us all just
email the founder your link, or if you have a cool link that I like, I'm
sure I would post that as well.

Where can I see all this really cool stuff? Well enough explaining how about
you just go there and browse around and if you want to join be my guest.
There is a nice little option as a member to get any message that is posted
there sent right to your email address, and no nobody can see your email

Cultural Notes: Lima, Peru

On the 28th of July in 1821, the Peru's Republican period began, when General
Don Jose de San Martin proclaimed Peru's independence from Spain. It was
during the government of Mariscal Ramon Castilla that Lima took an advanced
place among the cities of the American Continent: for the first time the
railway (between Lima and Callao) was built in South America, along with the
telegraph and the gas lightning system. Slavery was also abolished.

To celebrate their independence, Peruvians hold school and big military
parades, the Horse Gala Races at the Monterrico hippodrome, and you can find
an exhibition of handmade products and fairs in the different districts
around the country.

After long and hard thinkin to myself, I have found out that this area is not
the place it once was. I attempted making friends. The small handfull of you
I can call my friend, and then the rest of you would rather see me dead.

Aztec Artifact Found in Ancient Irish Altar

LONDON- Excavations at a ruined altar in Ireland produce a mysterious 600
year old artifact resembling an Aztec codex. The artifact, a long folded
piece of skin covered with colorful glyphs has been partially translated. It
reads, 'O wise and compassionate Eater of Filth, your call was dutifully
heard and obeyed ...(bloodstains obscure)... priests refused and instead
prepared to sacrifice me ...(bloody entrails obscure)... are apostates for
the blasphemy of denying your divine will and attempting harm to your chosen
...(crushed eyeball obscures)... waters of canal washed off striping. I
escaped across great waters. I have taken refuge in an exotic land called
Eire, where barbarous shamans teach me ...(matted fleece and animal fur
soaked in blood obscure)... merely children and small animals, but I grow
stronger with your blessing and soon will have larger sacrifices to give you.

bloodstains obscure to end).'
Historians and archaeologists are unable to explain how the Mexican
artifact became buried in Ireland , in a site which was ruined 500 years
before the glyphs were written. Authorities suspect vandalism and have
increased security at the dig.

Ed came running into my kitchen today. He was fairly agitated - his scales
were all ruffled, and his little yellow eyes were, well, practically glowing
with excitement. He tipped the vase with the begonias over as he raced in,
and didn't even stop to pick them up. "Master!" he hissed, "I saw Lady
Abigail in the street, I'm sure of it!"

I put my book down and thought about it. I'd received no news to indicate
that the lady in question was dead, or had finally been brought to face
justice for some of her no doubt numerous crimes against the established
society (any established society - like myself, that lady travels time as she
seems to please). But I had kind of written her off as a forgotten piece of
my past history.

You got to understand that Abigail meant quite a lot to me once. Some people
talk about soul mates - people who are destined to know and understand each
other because they share a piece of the same soul. Well, I have no soul, but
the feeling was still there. As long as it lasted, because eventually, we
broke up, walked our separate ways, and did the usual thing that lovers do
when they split up, i.e. we tried to forget that the other person ever
existed.

So what could she be up to? What distant era of mankind's history had she
been recuperating in? I promised myself to find out at some point, letting Ed
go on about the fellow she had been with. Looked like a killer, he said. Tis
hardly any great surprise. Abigail McDuff has done things both before knowing
me, during, and after, that could get her shot, beheaded, burnt, stoned,
drowned, exiled, and generally most disapproved of in most places. And no
one is probably ever going to track her down and make her stand trial for her
crimes because -

Well, because it's really hard to find someone who can hide in all the
recorded and unrecorded history of mankind. Most juries would laugh their
butts off and leave at the thought of being asked to sentence someone who
reputably is more than a hundred years old - not to mention a few thousand.

Well, I'll have to catch up someday and find out what she's up to. After
all, I have all the time in the world, like the rest of the informal
conspiracy that I'm part of.
