So... what did YOU do in LegendMUD this week? Did you stick to the same
old safe and well known places? Did you stick to your same old boring
routines? Or did you strike out and do something different? Did you find
anything worth revisiting? Did you make a newbie and explore either or
both ancient hometowns to their deepest, darkest, most secret crevices?
Did you find anything new? Did you find anything that amused you?

'What?!', you say, 'Who's got time for what amounts to HOMEWORK in the
summer?' 

Ok, I'll admit it... I haven't even had time to play myself lately. I've
barely been keeping up with all the immortal type stuff that I do around
here. So yes, I know what busy means. Add in two kids who want to be
in the pool to my normal hectic schedule and you've got cause for some
major distractions.

But anyway... we've got three more full weeks in the Ancient era, so I'm
sure we can all find SOMETHING to explore and comment on as we pass
through. There should be no one chatting, 'I'm bored.' since there's
always something we haven't done in a while, and chances are, it's
changed from when you were last there.

With the Summer Odyssey, we're presented with an excellent opportunity to
think about Expies categories! With all the games, tinyplots, and area
updates, there are plenty of chances for you to think about potential
nominees.

When you participate in some or all of these games, keep BEST GAMESMASTER
(Immortal) in mind and the Fun category we often see to honor the BEST
MORTAL-RUN GAME.

When you take part in the tinyplots, consider potential nominations for
the Player categories of  BEST FE/MALE ROLEPLAYER, BEST ROLEPLAYING
MELODRAMA, and BEST SUPPORTING ROLEPLAYER!

With all of the building updates that happen during the Odyssey - and all
the exploring you're encouraged to do just for the sake of it and with
all the games, keep an eye out for those building categories. Some of
them include but aren't restricted to... H.G. WELLS MEDAL for the area
you'd most like to travel back in time to visit, BEST AREA UPDATE, BEST
SPECIAL AFFECT, and because someone out there will hit one while playing
a game or exploring, BEST DEATHTRAP.

Another category you can think about in the Immortal realm is BEST BUG -
with all these area updates going in, there's sure to be one good doozy!

And with the re-introduction of PKE, keep in mind who has the MOST
SPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT IN PKILL.

Can't remember who/what all you wanted to nominate in a category? Put it
on the Expie Board! There's 3 available to you OOC, one in the Auditorium
(ooc, w), one by the discussion board in the Immortal Office Complex
(ooc, u), and one in the Awards Lobby (ooc, n, w).

           Will Royce Family Educational Franchises Expand with 
               Sir Robar's Reform School for Young Hoydens?

'Get more candy', Sir Robar noted to himself, and get some it takes more
than a second to chew. He was still a bit shaken over the incident.
Ripped apart by a cute little girl in her frenzy for more candy.

It was quite amazing how much strength such a little girl could muster,
he had found himself lying on his back more than once toppled over by the
creature. Fighting back, of course, was out of the question - she was
just a girl, and he was a Knight, after all.

Luckily, the girl had decided that he was indeed out of candy, which was
probably the only reason he was still breathing.

It was easy to tell that this misbehaved, misguided little wildcat was
one of that Marcel's crowd. But with a bit of candy and some kind words
he was sure he could charm this girl as well - and she would grow up some
day.

                            PKE'RS wanted!

Hey, if you're a rogue or looking to get involved with PKE then send me
a tell or drop me a note. I am looking for people to help boost the PKE
population and make PKE as fun as it could possibly be. I know you may
have reservations but take it from a person who has pk'd here for years,
all the harshness of PKE is a rarity indeed, most times it's all about
the fun. So drop me a note if you're looking for a clan to join so you
too can get involved in the fun.

All but one of The Wardens of the King were seen out in the middle of the
action this past week. The Necromancers fielded the next largest number of
members with about one quarter of their members involved. The Grendels had
the next highest number of active members this week with about half their
members involved in skirmishes. A pair of Knights of Legend were also seen
on the fields of honor. The Seven Circles, Infernals, The Syndicate, The
Avengers, the Insitute of Healing Arts and Clan Smashum all had one member
that was involved in pkill activities this past week.

In the past week there were 86 pk-related deaths involving 46 different
characters. Of those 46 characters, 13 of them were accept all at the
time. There were 36 pke vs pke battles that ended in death. There are 31
PKE characters total. So come on, let's get YOUR name up in lights! We
can't report on it if you don't tell us about it!

If you witnessed or commit any glorious or nefarious deeds, send a short

anything else related to PK (not necessarily PK Clan related), send it

            Mystery of Loss..Chapter 1 Section 2: By Enhander

...The room was dark, in the exception for a large white light on the
ceiling. I arose from my bed to see what was causing this bright light.
As I began to walk toward it, it seemed that I had fallen out of time. No
matter how close I thought I got to the light, it would get that much
further away. After what seemed to be hours of flying toward the light,
there was a blinding flash, and then darkness...

I awoke from my slumber in a startle. I found myself on the cold wooden
floor in a sweat. I stayed there for a few moments pondering the dream.
After collecting my thoughts I stood up and sat at the foot of the bed.
Moments later there was a knock at the door. The old man came in slowly
and began to speak.

Old Man: "Ah, good you're up. Did you have a nightmare?"

I told him a bit about the dream; his response was quite interesting.

Old Man: "It seems that something traumatic has happened at some point in
your life. Can you recall anything that happened?"

I explained my situation to a certain extent. The old man nodded and
continued.

Old Man: "Your not from here, are you? From this Planet I mean."

I stalled a moment to think of what to say. He looked at me as to say
"Don't Lie to me." I nodded in affirmation and told him where I was from,
and what I thought had happened.

Old Man: "My my.. You say it was completely destroyed??? What foul demon
would do such a thing?"

I shook my head. I told him that as the battle commenced I was knocked
out and when I woke, I was on this planet. I asked him questions about
where I was at.

Old Man: "Well my boy, your on the Planet Earth."

I recalled looking at star charts when I was at the academy. I asked him
if this was the Milky Way.

Old Man: "Why Yes, you know your solar system."

About that time the old man's wife walked in.

Old Woman: "Well, its nice to see you awake. How are you?"

I told her I was fine.

Old Woman: "Dinner is ready, I hope you like steak!"

The old woman smiled happily. I wondered what this steak was. I curiously
walked into the dining area and sat down. The old woman walked over to
the stove and filled a plate full of dark looking meat. I have to say; It
did smell very good. A few moments after she sat the plate down the old
man began a conversation.

Old Man: "Well my boy, we don't even know your name."

I stopped for a moment and told him my military title: 'Enhander
Phoenixblade, 1st Rank Saiyan General, 456th squadron.'

Old Woman: "Well that's interesting, my name is Kimberly, and that's
Joe." Old Man: "Yes, we've lived on this mountain for 22 years so far.
Hasn't treated us wrong so far."

The couple smiled.

Old Man: "All except for the stupid kids who bother us every weekend.
They've threatened to kill us before."

I suddenly rose in my chair and began to ask questions about this "gang".

Old Man: "Ah, they come every now and.."

As he was talking, there was a shatter outside. He got up to get his
shotgun off the mantle but I stopped him. I told him that I would take
care of it. I stepped outside to find about 20 mid-aged youths with guns.

Gang Leader: "Where's the old man, we have a bone to pick with him!"

I told them that they would be dealing with me.

Gang Leader: "Heh, We'll take you out and then get the old man."

I grinned slightly. The group raised their guns and began to fire. I
stood seemingly motionless to them. After they stopped I rose one hand
and dropped the shells. A stunned look appeared on their faces.

Gang Leader: "Ho..How?!"

Apparently the human race was much weaker than ours, I quickly displaced
the group. A fair amount ran away. I walked back in the house and told
the couple they wouldn't have to worry about them anymore.

Old Man: "Thank You so much! You are now considered our son, our house is
yours!"

I nodded in gratitude and finished the meal.

                      The Bunny and His Adventures!

Once upon a time...there was a little blue dust bunny. The bunny belonged
to a young man named Wyth. One day, Wyth lost his bunny on the way to a
friend's house and he thought he lost it forever. But little did he know
that his bunny would travel a long way and soon return. A couple of
months after the bunny was dropped, it traveled all the way to London.
For a little bunny that's a long way and London seemed like a big place.
The bunny decided that since he came such a long way, he would never seen
Wyth again. He figured that he needed a home...and his favorite place in
London was Curio shop, and when the shop was closed, he either went to
Outfitters' or the postal office! One day, when the bunny was fairly
grown, he decided to go for a walk. He walked, and walked, and walked,
and walked. He ended up in a strange place called Ruan, which is a place
near Abbey. Suddenly, he had a flashback! He remembered that day when
Wyth took him to a friend. The friend lived in Ruan! The bunny ran all
the way until he didn't know where to go! There were three doors around
him and he had NO clue which one was the right door! From out of no
where, he chose door #1. Though he chose poorly, he didn't give up. Next,
he chose door #2. It was also wrong! Eagerly, he opened door #3 and there
it was Lilac's and Gad's Cottage! This was the place where he would
reunite with his owner! Shortly, a little girl entered the cottage. Her
name was Jasra. She was a close friend to Wyth. He ran up to her and
hugged her. Later, he introduced himself. He asked her to reunite him
with Wyth. Kindly, the young Princess agreed only if he would introduce
her to Wyth. He agreed. That night, Jasra asked Wyth to meet with her and
he did. That was a time to see! Everybody was so happy! The bunny loved
to see Wyth again and Wyth loved the bunny! As Wyth and the bunny were
getting ready to head home, Jasra interrupted them. She glanced at the
bunny, suspiciously. He suddenly remembered that he owed a promise to
Jasra! He did as he was to. Jasra met Wyth and they stayed friends
forever. As for the bunny...he found himself a friend afterward and
everybody lived happily ever after!
