Area Updates

Alaska: some of the fight act behaviors should be more logical, Inuit
language quest should be a little more logical to complete.
Arabia: some of the spammy or illogical behaviors cleaned up
Beowulf: the meadhall now includes a welcome board
Casablanca: some room description cleanup
Crusades: Saladin's assassin is tougher now.
Malta: banner of St. John is improved based on player comment (Folks,
keep
on pointing out items that just aren't as good as they should be!).
Shade
should behave better.
Tartarus: Memories are now easier - players can take several if needed.
When killed by a memory, corpses will now trans out of Hypnos palace.
You
cannot dash anymore into the Hypnos room.
Small fixes were made and typos smashed in:
Abbey, Crusades, Klein, Dante's Inferno, London, Tortuga
The following in-progress areas saw commits this week:
Black Forest, Dartmoor, Industrial Hawaii, Pittsburgh Expansion, Silk
Road
Lowbie eq discounts and the new material spec were applied in:
Dreamtime Australia, the Savanna, Sherwood
As you can see, lots of progress is being made on new areas lately!

o Adds mood command for setting your general mood. Using the
general mood name will still work.
BUG
o Legless mobs won't give messages about standing.
o Crashing bug fixed.
o Stat bug fixed where occasionally upon login, your stats wouldn't
change until you had logged off and back in again.
o Spellbook studying will be more reliable with older spellbooks now.
o Crashing bug fixed.

Good citizens, on behalf of the House of Chamberlain and the family of
Ms Schilderknaddargeres, I welcome each and every one of you to the
union of Lord Terrance, Steward of Castle Archibald, and Lady Zqviimia.

Been playing for a long time and want to remember the days of old?
A
newer player who always wonders what all those old geezer losers are
talking about?
Well wonder no more, this new section will contain an excerpt from
an
older LT that's hopefully informative (or at least funny) and a link to
go
check out the whole thing if you'd like. Our first edition of this new
article comes from Volume 4, Issue 8 from April 1, 1997 the article is
titled "What the BlueBird of Happiness Dropped on My Desk!" I chose
this
particular part because it involves me.... eating intestines and that's
something I really just couldn't pass up.
"Our winged sneak was sick to its stomach recently, when it observed
Huma
eating the intestines of Fraegis in public. Given the delicate matter
of
the case, and the fact that our bluebird spent two hours at a very
private
place, doing something very private and embarrassing, we have no
information as to the reason for this, nor the further developments of
the
case. We hope Fraegis doesn't miss his organs too much, but then,
vampires
are notoriously hard to get rid of, aren't they?"

Zqviimias Autobiography Part 1
It was shortly after divorcing my 4th husband that I decided to
write
an autobiography. The name Zqviimia Schildnerknaddargeres was given to
me
by my agent, Harold. Jane Smith is my original name. I was born on
October 9, 1964 in small little Joseph, Oregon. My mother worked 3
part-time jobs to support us so I barely saw her. I never met my
father;
though I heard my grandparents say he was a drunk nobody who didn't
want
to admit to having an affair with my mother. My grandma Jo and grandpa
John raised me, with no energy I might add, and so my official
baby-sitter
was the television. Yes, I grew up marveling at the Stars and all their
glamour.
At age 7 I knew I wanted to be an actress and live like Grace Kelly
and John Wayne. I thought to myself, surely their lives are a lot more
interesting than that of a 7 year old living in nowhere-land. Shortly
afterwards, my mother married a stock broker by the name of Peter
Donker,
(don't ask me how my mother and him met) and we moved to Los Angeles.
My
step-father took an interest to my fantasies and began auditioning me
for
small commercials. I made a few of the cuts and before I knew it, I
was
playing the part of 'little happy kid' eating peanut butter on some
(now
when I think it) really corny commercial.
After a few commercials, I auditioned for random parts and rose
through the ranks of "Actress-hood" from commercial kid to Soap Opera
Star. My role on All My Children was so-and-so's daughter, a
high-school
drop out with a mean temper and a prosthetic leg. Ironically, my high
school grades reflected that of my character's along with the drama and
soul-searching of your average teenager. Okay, I admit to doing
heroine
for a while. Los Angeles is filled with enough dealers to supply the
entire city twice over and luckily for me, I had a few friends who had
connections. To my dismay, my mother found out and threw me in a rehab
center. I missed a lot of school that year and the tabloids ate up the
news of a drug-using Star. Although the road for me seemed grim at the
time, I knew I would make it.
