LegendMUD turns 11 years old today! Read on to find out what surprises

Today, we celebrate LegendMUD's 11th birthday. It's been a joy for us
all to keep this game running for the past 11 years, and we hope to
continue bringing you Legend for years to come.
We have seen many changes during this time. Some good, some bad. But
through it all, we want you to be sure that we will work to keep
Legend fun and interesting for all types of players, and all levels
of characters.
So, with that, let us show you the list of 'Presents' for you this year,
and inform you that there will be many more to come throughout the year.
Thank you all for helping keep Legend the long-running game it is.

From the Coding department:
New skill! Set Trap. That's right folks, it's here. Somar's the proud
Papa of this new skill, so make sure to let him know how you like it.
You may also notice that some people are now able to learn disarm
trap that weren't before.
New spell! Mana charge. This new spell is for both schools. Huginn has
worked hard on it so make sure to pass any thoughts on to him!
New way to reboot! Wanting that area bug fixed in a jiffy? Hey, we
did too! Snapper has worked out a new way for the immorts to do a 'soft
reboot' which means that we can now reload areas without rebooting the
entire mud. We can also add in new areas this way!
Have a pkill timer but really need to archive that character of yours
in a hurry? Well worry no more! Now you can! The timer will remain,
as will your accept/reject list.
From the Building department:
Two area updates for you all to check out! Nestor has put in a small
update for the ancient seas Tyre area. LadyAce has also added in a new
section for Klein -- the Teutonic Knights! Be sure to check them out and
let those two know how ya like 'em!
A bunch of areas were updated to add in some of the ingredients for the
new set traps skill. Also, there are skill teachers out there for the
new skill. Get to lookin!
As with all new spells, we have added in a spellbook for the newest one.
There is also a second spellbook now in for Corrosive Death.

Skill reimbursements! Oh my, oh my! Got a character sitting in the
archives because he has appraise instead of weapon mastery? Well dig that
old guy or gal out! Paul is being generous for the next TWO months! That's
right folks, you can reimburse any skill EXCEPT weapon proficiencies(Arms
training, Fencing, Swordsmanship), Chant, Words, Augment, and Poultice.
Remember, you have TWO months to do this! NO exceptions.
Clan Mailing Lists! You can now ask to have a mailing list set up for
your clan so long as your clan falls under these conditions:
Your clan must be at least 3 months old.
Your clan must have an ACTIVE membership base of at least 7.
Active members must log on at least weekly.
